SuperIdols! RPG: A New Stage

SuperIdols! RPG: A New Stage is a tabletop roleplaying game about a world where musicians and performers can draw upon a special kind of magic powered by their creative passions. Those who wield this musical magic are called superidols, or simply idols for short. 

Most superidols use their powers to enhance their performances and bring joy to their fans. Others use them to help the world or protect innocent people from threats. Some may choose to become threats themselves as they use their powers and talents for nefarious purposes. The music industry in this world can be just as cutthroat as it is in ours. With magic in the mix? Band drama can really go off the charts.

When playing SuperIdols! RPG: A New Stage, you are telling the story of a group of up-and-coming superidols working together to find their niche, master their powers, and make a name for themselves. You and your fellow players will each take on the role of one of these idols, guiding them along their path to superstardom and maybe handling a few villainous threats along the way. Choose the type of performer you want to be, the powers you want to have, and what you want to bring to the world of music.

SuperIdols! RPG: A New Stage is based on the setting of the podcast SuperIdols! RPG and is heavily adapted from the games Masks: A New Generation by Brendan Conway and Apocaypse World by D. Vincent Baker and Meguey Baker. 

Some sections and mechanics are inspired by and adapted from other game systems, including Eidolon: Become Your Best Self, Thirsty Sword Lesbians, Monsterhearts, Monster of the Week, Glitter Hearts, #iHunt, and Blazing Hymn. Others are adapted from custom Masks moves originally developed for the podcast SuperIdols! RPG by Eryn “Cerise” Dearden and Zachary Selman Palmer.

The original logo for the SuperIdols! RPG podcast, which is also used for this game, is by Prissmbell. Additional graphic design, editing, and layouting for this ashcan release is by Leon Richardson.
